St. Augustine’s, UF’s, and the state’s beloved historian, Michael Gannon, died quietly in his sleep at home on April 11, 2017. He was a friend to countless numbers, and inspiration for nearly as many. It goes without saying he’ll be missed, but his voice and joyous humanitarian spirit will forever be archived among us. Rather than go into detail here about his eventful 89 years, we are providing several links to articles commemorating his life. The history department will do just that in an early fall ceremony.
