We’re not talking about the basketball player-turned-physician John Tidwell going to see his favorite opera at the Voronezh Theater in Russia. We’re talking about . . .
our own Jessica Taylor (PhD 2017, Juliana Barr and Jon Sensbach) accepting a tenure-track position at Virginia Tech. Dr. Taylor is a specialist in colonial, Native American, and African American history, with a background in historic preservation and oral history. She has been a visiting lecturer at Georgia State University since fall 2017, and will assume her duties at VTU in fall 2018 (and, by the way, the department chair at VTU, Dr. Mark Barrow, completed an MA in history of science here at UF). Warm congratulations to Dr. J from Gville.
